Hope this mail finds you well and chirpy 
! Am pleased to bring you news of our Soup Kitchen held on Wed, 22 Jul 09.
After a delicious vegetarian beehoon lunch (thanks to aunty Pam 
!), the kitchen team went into action. Together with our new volunteers, we prepared 8 tubs of Sambar vegetables and 3 tubs of rice. Halfway through, a lorry arrived at the church with packs of sweet buns from Fonyen. Shortly after, an “icy truck” delivered bags and bags of puffs – the quantity of which doubled that of 8 Jul 09 (..thanks to Mr Singh!). Everyone was grinning as we knew then that the distribution would again be a bountiful one!
At 6pm sharp, the distribution team (together with an 83-year-old volunteer, Rennie, aka our role model 
!) left for the dormitory.
In total, we served 409 bowls of hot meal and distributed all the puffs, 80 packs of sweet buns, 600 tea sachets and 60kg of potatoes (thanks to Mr Gupta). C’est magnifique!
